CSCMRI Chemistry Project Job – Applications Invited
Applications are invited for Project Associate – I (PA-I) to work in the research project entitled “Integrated pilot scale production of pigment, sophorolipid, and β-glucan from sabji-mandi waste through Yeast-mediated fermentation: A Waste to wealth scheme with a single process multi-product biorefinery model” under Waste to Wealth Scheme funded by CSIR, New Delhi for a duration of three years.
Post: Project Associate I – 1 Post
Essential qualifications for Project Associate – I:
M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry (preferably Physical Chemistry)
Monthly Emoluments for Project Associate – I:
- Rs. 31000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE OR (b) A selection process through National Level Examination conducted by Central Government Department and their Agencies and Institutions.
- Rs. 25000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Desirable: Candidates having experience in the area of physical chemistry would be preferred. Competency in downstream processing of bioactive compounds would be preferred. The selected candidate will have to work on the project entitled “Integrated pilot scale production of pigment, sophorolipid, and β-glucan from sabji-mandi waste through Yeast-mediated fermentation: A Waste
to wealth scheme with a single process multi-product biorefinery model” under Waste to Wealth Mission Project funded by CSIR, New Delhi for a period of three years. The candidate would be expected to work in the area of downstream processing of bioactive compounds, process development and demonstration of the above processes.Job Requirement: Competency in physical chemistry and downstream processing of bioactive compounds would be preferred.
Age: (As on the last date of receipt of applications through e-mail, i.e. 21/12/2023), maximum 35 years.
Duration: This position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The posts are purely temporary for the total duration of five years in any Sponsored Project/Scheme. It would not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.

Applications received by email will be scrutinized based on certain criteria and only shortlisted candidates as are eligible as per the criteria will be asked to attend an interview using online mode, i.e. Skype.
