Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following post on contract basis for the ICMR project entitled “Human skeletal muscle disease biobank (Phase II) – Extension of services and establishment of genetic profile and stem cell culture facility” under Dr. Nandeesh B N, Additional Professor of Neuropathology. Candidate will be working in the lab of Co-investigator Dr.Yogananda S M Associate professor of Biophysics, NIMHANS Bengaluru.

Essential Qualification: M.Sc in Life Science/ Biochemistry / Biotechnology, Biophysics/ Chemistry with a good academic record
Desirable: Candidates with 6-month experience in human stem cell, primary mammalian neuronal culture, and Patch clamp electrophysiology are encouraged to apply
Nature of Work: The project covers extensive human primary cell culture, induced pluripotent stem cell culturing, reprogramming, differentiating and characterization. Also, use of electrophysiology (patch-clamp) and fluorescence imaging for functional study in neurons/myotubes. Also, candidates will gain expertise in confocal microscopy, biochemical and molecular biology techniques. Candidates will be encouraged to apply for PhD
Maximum Age limit
: 30 yearsSalary Structure: Rs.28,000/- + 27% HRA per month
Duration of Employment: 1 year (Initial appointment will be for 6 months which will be extendable depending upon the satisfactory performance of the candidate)
