We are looking for an Associate Content Editor to join our Patent Biblio curation Team at Clarivate. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Biblio curation patent content in the IP segment. The team consists of 24 people and reports to the Team Manager. We have a great skill set in data correction & standardizing Patent Bibliographic information and creation of Patent families in line with editorial policies and conventions. We are looking for candidates who have the skills to classify patents based on novelty of patent documents, apply data validation to patent documents in line with editorial policies and conventions, and identify patents that relate to the same invention with a Mathematics, Chemistry, or Physics (includes allied courses) related degree.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- B.Sc – Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry (includes Allied Courses)
- Should have knowledge & understanding of the process in Patents and Patents Search (an advantage)
- A customer-driven approach and good commercial awareness
- Problem identification and solving skills
- Taking an active role within the team to ensure targets are met
- Visible “can do” approach to work and positive attitude to change
- Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and achieve deadlines and targets
- A team player with the ability to work under own initiative, driving concept to conclusion
What will you be doing in this role?
- Apply data validation to patent documents in line with editorial policies and conventions
- Identify patents that relate to the same invention
- Achieve production volume and quality targets in the expected timeline
- Recording of performance against target
- Maintain awareness of current developments in own technology areas
- Achieve and maintain consistent quality standards
- Manage customer cases assigned by the Customer Service Desk and operational requests
- Provide data analysis and reporting from periodic quality benchmarking reviews
- Provide analysis and feedback of quality assurance data to drive continuous content improvement
- Provide analysis and suggestions for process and content improvements as part of daily role or through participation in project teams
- Provide quality assurance checks and necessary updates for the translation of assignee, inventor, agent names translations, and address data
- Provide quality assurance checks and necessary updates for the master dictionary
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager on a permanent or temporary basis
About the Team
Biblio curation is all about data correction & standardizing Patent Bibliographic information and creation of Patent families in line with editorial policies and conventions. The core team consists of Patentees, Conversion Hold (CH), Non-conversion (NC), Equivalent review (QR), Patent Citation Index (PCI).
Hours of Work
This is a full-time permanent position with normal working hours in the office.
