Advertisement for the Post of Project Assistant
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Project Assistant under the DBT sponsored Ramalingaswami Re-Entry Fellowship Project, entitled “Mechanistic Role of Pyruvate Kinase M2 in Smooth Muscle Cell proliferation and intimal hyperplasia in the comorbid condition of diabetes and obesity” under the supervision of Dr. Manish Jain, Ramalingaswami Fellow, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Essential Qualification: B.Pharm and M.Pharm. (preferably in Pharmacology) with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH).
Desirable qualification and experience: GATE/GPAT, CSIR-NET or any National entrance test exam conducted by any central Govt. department is desirable. The candidate should have experience in Molecular Biology techniques. Having experience in working with animal models and mammalian cell culture techniques will be preferred.
Age: Not more than 35 years as on closing date of advertisement.
Fellowship: Monthly emoluments of Rs. 25000/-(Consolidated). The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and coterminous with the project. The project has been sanctioned for a period of five years.
Selection process:
Eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called
for interview in the office of Chairperson, UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh or may be interviewed through teleconference.Applications along with Curriculum Vitae may be submitted to the office of the undersigned by email or sent by post latest by 5.00 PM on 31st October, 2023. The date and time of the interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates by email. No separate interview letters will be issued.
NOTE: No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
