Mission Details
- Check the implementation of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) procedures
- Perform necessary laboratory trials for support to manufacture and industrialisation of new products as well as the approval of new raw materials
- Conduct industrial trials and check that the results obtained match the initial specification requirements (specifications, output, productivity)
- Write up trial reports and interpret the results
- Train new recruits in the products and their production methods
- Take samples of new products and record reactions: approval, industrialisation, recipe modification, troubleshooting, miscellaneous requests
- May be required to perform daily duties in the Quality Control Laboratory when replacing a colleague
- Write up and distribute analysis reports
- Propose technical improvements to experiments
- Practical set-up of syntheses
- Perform synthesis of new compounds by following the synthesis route devised by the R&D researcher
- Assist with optimisation of syntheses
- Oversee raw materials, finished products, and wastes
Required Profile
- Initial training: Professional education in the chemical sector
- Knowledge:
- Knowledge of products and technologies used
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and formulations
- Knowledge of operating methods and QHSE rules
- Broad intellectual curiosity
- Test and analysis methods in chemistry, liquid and gas chromatography
- Management of wastes
