Role description
Blend planning and quality assurance for final products of the mine, while ensuring operational standards are maintained in sample collection, preparation and reporting of physical and chemical parameters to internal and external customers
- To support quality assurance function of the department especially through blend planning/ scheduling for stockpile preparation to target tonnage and grade as well during despatch to customers. Need also to ensure traceability of product quality in storage bins, stockpiles and despatch
- To ensure timely delivery of quality certificates and related reports (physical and/or chemical) to the customers
- To develop and deploy operational standards, traceable to national/ international standards and industry best practices in sampling for mine grade control, in-process and final despatch/shipment to internal as well as external customers
- To carry out measurement system analysis (MSA) time to time in the sampling process and to reduce error/bias in sampling
- Manpower deployment and management, record keeping, monitoring of KPIs related to sampling including cost
- Resource management at sample processing units (maintaining availability of men and machines for sampling collection and preparation equipment e.g. auto-samplers, crusher, pulveriser, air oven, mechanical sieve shakers, tumbler apparatus, air oven, hot plate etc, managing AMCs or in-house TPM deployment
- To ensure safety of men and machines at every points of operations by following set standards and applicable safety guidelines
- To ensure environment friendly operation at sample processing units and to take care of related legal and statutory requirements

- Should be conversant with basic sampling techniques, National/International standards for sample collection and preparation as well as industry best practices in these areas
- Should be familiar with quality control & quality assurance processes in mineral industry
- Should have basic computer skills
