Job Title: Researcher/Principle Researcher: Environment Res Group (FTE)
Location: Jamshedpur
Eligbility Criteria:
Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science,chemical engineering,or a closely related field.
0 to 3 years’ experience will be prefer.
Skills
•Experience with materials synthesis (solid-state and wet chemical reactions).
•Experience executing electrochemical experiments and analysis, specially experience with solid-state ion conductors e.g. Li/Na-ion batteries.
•Experience with basic ceramic processing e.g., high temperature furnaces, ball milling, pressing green bodies, annealing, sintering, tape casting, calendaring etc.

Research and Development (R&D) department of Tata Steel, Jamshedpur is continuously developing new products and processes since 1937 to create better environmental sustainability and competitive advantages. In this line, valorization of waste and by-product of steel industries is one of the leading areas of research. We already developed battery active cathode and anode materials from steel plant’s waste and by-product. To continue the pace of this development process and add new dimension to the
battery materials research,highly skilled researchers will be required for the execution of lab scale and large-scale research projects related to advanced electrochemical materials, including Lithium-ion and Sodium-ion batteries, Super Capacitors, and other electrochemical devices.1.Idea generation and execution in the area of materials for energy storage devices. Designing and execution of electrochemistry-based research project according to the requirement of the organization.
2.Lab scale and large-scale execution of research projects.
3.Managing and handling of advanced research equipment’s in materials synthesis and advanced analytical characterization.
4.Managing and handling of advanced research equipment’s in electrode and cell fabrication.
5.Managing and handling of advanced research equipment’s in electrochemical field such as glove box, battery tester, PG-STAT.
6.Collaboration with external agencies in the research projects.
7.Modelling of batteries and super capacitors.
