Job Title: BW R&D Modelling & Analytics Manager
Location: Port Sunlight R&D or Bangalore/Mumbai
Eligbility Criteria:
- A M.S or PhD or equivalent in Physical chemistry, Materials chemistry, or Physics with a demonstrated understanding in any physical science related modeling using informatics, machine learning, or molecular simulation.
- Track record of delivery in the application of data analytics and modelling.
- Hands-on experience with professional modelling software such as SAS, Python, R, MATLAB and JMP.
- Hands-on technical expertise in data visualization.
- The ability to work effectively within teams across multiple geographies and functions.
- The ability to present and communicate in a compelling, efficient, and effective manner to experts and non-experts.

JOB PURPOSE
Recognising the increasing importance of
digital in achieving our ambition, Beauty & Wellbeing R&D is establishing a small RD Digital Operations Team: Digital Change Management, Data Governance & Quality, Data Analytics, and predictive Data Modelling.Part of the BW R&D Digital Operations Team and reporting to the Head of BW R&D Digital, the BW R&D Modelling & Analytics Manager will play a key leadership role in the definition and execution of a BW R&D modelling programme, and associated data science workstreams, to support BW Innovation Design and Science & Technology programmes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the definition and execution of a modelling programme to support BW Innovation
- Design and Science & Technology with input from BW Digital Transformation Squad, appropriate domain experts and data scientists, Digital & Partnerships R&D, and UNIOps.
- Delivery of priority modelling projects through the: design and planning of experiments, analyses of data, building and validating predictive models and execution of these models with non-experts.
- Develop modelling capability and capacity across BW R&D through training, internal Communities of Practice and engaging external partners and specialists.
- Continuous learning initiatives to keep abreast of state-of-the-art modelling & optimisation methods.
- Identify and manage 3P suppliers for capability infusion where needed to deliver program.
