Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Associate-1 in a time bound research project for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following details:

Project Title: Conversion of Agricultural Residues to Value added materials (catalysts,
adsorbent, etc.) and their applications.
Funding Agency: SCIENCE & ENGINEERING RESEARCH BOARD (SERB)
Principal Investigator: Dr. Banasri Roy Department of Chemical Engineering
Project Tenure: 11 Months
Job Description: The selected candidate is expected to perform experimental research in
Laboratory and correlate the results with the help of literature review and own
educational background. Writing report/articles on the findings of the research
will be essential.
Qualification: M.E./M.Tech. (with at least 60% marks) in Chemical Engineering/Material
Science/ Nano Technology or relevant area or M.Sc. chemistry/physics/mathematics with 60% marks.
Experience in Materials Science/Chemical Engineering related Laboratory
Project work will be given preference.
Desirable: GATE/NET qualified.
Upper Age Limit Age not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 year for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.
Fellowship: 31,000/- per month for NET/GATE qualified candidates.
25,000/-per month for non-NET/GATE qualified candidates.
Registration for PhD.: Selected candidates will be given the opportunity for a full time PhD program at BITS, Pilani as per the institute norms.
