Pay Scale Level-11 in the pay matrix
Age Not exceeding 40 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 43 years for OBC candidates as on normal closing date in respect of vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/ UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/order issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Eligbility Criteria:
Doctorate degree in one of the *Natural Sciences from a recognized University.
*Natural sciences means pure or applied in Physics/ Chemistry/Biology(Botany/Zoology) Or Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences followed by M.Phil/Ph.D in Environmental Sciences from a recognized University
EXPERIENCE
Five years experience in teaching/research in an educational/research organization and/or administrative experience in the field of environment.
Note– The qualification are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Desirable Qualification (s) Experience in Planning, design and execution of projects relating to environment.
Duty(ies) Co-ordination action for Conservation, protection and preservation of environment, policy intervention for prevention of control of pollution, enforcement and coordination for implementation of Environment (Protection) Act 1986, Air Act 1981, Water Act 1974 and rules notification made there under/waste management, Environmental Impact Assessment, climate change, implementation of plan schemes, other environment related issues, assembly and parliament matter, environment data base generation and miscellaneous like RTI, PGMS etc.

Other Details General Central Service Group A’ Gazetted (Non-Ministerial). The post is permanent.
Any Other Conditions As per circular dated 12.03.2020 issued by services Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi consequent upon a letter issued by Govt. of India, MHA vide letter No 13028/100/2015-Delhi-I dated 18.08.2020 “that a person who is recognized as member of the OBC in his/her original state will be entitled to all the benefits of reservation in that state only and not in other State/Union Territories.” Accordingly OBC certificate issued by the NCT of Delhi only will be accepted.
