C-MET invites applications from eligible and highly motivated candidates to be engaged as Junior Research Fellow, under MeitY sponsored project titled “Establishment of Centre of Excellence on E-waste Management” . The positions are purely temporary and are co-terminus with the project duration (i.e. 29.09.2024).

Eligbility Criteria: M Sc. Chemistry or Material Science with UGC-CSIR NET or GATE
Desirable: 02 years hands on experience in the area of E-Waste recycling, chemical processing of materials, characterization of materials OR
Essential: B.Tech/BE in Metallurgy/ Chemical Engineering with valid GATE score.
Desirable:
1. M. Tech/M.E. in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering, and/or
2. 02 years research experience in e-waste recycling, extractive metallurgy of nonferrous metals, process automation
Salary:
31,000/- + 27% HRA (Total 39,370/-) per month + 1 month stipend
towards medical expenses
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Only Indian Nationals need apply.
2. Nature of Position: The engagement on the above positions are purely
temporary initially for one year and may be extended upto project completion
as mentioned above.
3. Age: Not exceeding 28 years as on 01.01.2023. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be as per Govt. of India norms. Candidates seeking
these relaxations are required to submit photocopies of the certificates entitling them to such relaxations.4. Duly self-attested photocopies of all the documents must be enclosed along
with the application form.
5. Only self attested recent passport size photograph should be pasted in the
appropriate place in the application form.
6. The envelope containing the duly filled-in application along with requisite documents viz., copies of certificates, w. r. t. educational qualification, date of birth, research experience, caste etc., should be superscribed “APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (SP-41)” and addressed to Finance & Administrative Officer (SP-41) and sent by post to C-MET at the address given above to reach before the due date
stated above.
7. Applications received after due date for whatsoever reasons, shall not be
entertained. Incomplete applications are liable to be rejected.
8. Candidates working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies
should bring ‘NOC’ at the time of interview if called for the same.
9. Short-listed candidates shall be called for written test followed by interview/or Interview only at the discretion of the competent authority. Information will be sent to the candidates e-mail address indicated in the application form. 11. The institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for the
recruitment process to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualification and
experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
12. Mere fulfilling the essential and desirable qualifications will not entitle an
applicant to be called for interview.
13. It is to be ensured by the candidates that the photocopies of the documents that are required to be submitted are clear and legible. In case the documents are not legible, such applications are liable to be rejected. No correspondence will be entertained in this matter.
14. List of shortlisted candidates called for written test/interview and outcome of
the recruitment process will be displayed in our website only. No TA/DA shall
be given for attending the WRITTEN TEST/INTERVIEW.
15. The candidates are required to produce the original documents for proof of
age, educational qualification, NET/GATE certificates, research experience,
caste and NOC (wherever applicable) along with supporting documents etc. at the time of interview. In case the certificates/mark sheets etc. have not collected from colleges/ present employer, a custodian certificate from the respective authorities should invariably produced to the Screening Committee at the time of verification of certificates, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to attend the written test/interview.
16. The selected candidates shall not have any legal right to claim his/her
regularization/appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular post or any further contractual engagement on termination of the scheme/project.
17. Engagement of selected candidates is subject to his/her being declared
medically fit as per the requirement of C-MET.
18. C-MET reserves the right to cancel / terminate the candidature at any point of
time during the engagement process, if any wrong declaration, misrepresentation or concealment is detected then his / her engagement shall be liable to be terminated without prejudice to any other necessary action will be initiate by the society as per Rule of law. The decision of the competent authority will be final and binding on the candidate.
