CSIR-CLRI desires to engage talented candidates as Junior Research Fellow / Project
Assistant on temporary basis in various projects tenable at CLRI as per qualification, age
etc., detailed below:
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow
No.of posts: 01 Position
Eligbility Criteria: MSc General Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Polymer Chemistry/
from a recognized University/ Institute with valid CSIR-UGC NET/GATE
qualification. (or) MTech Nanotechnology/ Polymer Science and Technology from a
recognized University/ Institute with valid CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification.
Desirable:
1. Candidate having minimum 55% of marks in M.Sc / M.Tech and
good academic record with experience in research will be given preference.
2. Candidate having Knowledge in analytical skills and knowledge of characterisation techniques will be given preference.
Salary: Rs.31,000/- plus HRA applicable per month
Age: 28 years

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow

Eligbility Criteria: PG degree in Chemistry from a recognized University/ Institute and
qualified in any of the national level exam conducted by DST / CSIR / DAE / UGC /
DRDO or GATE
Desirable: candidates having minimum 55% of marks in PG degree and
experience in synthetic organic chemistry will be given preference.
Duration: 01 year
Salary
: Rs.31,000/- plus HRA per monthAge: 28 years

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow

Eligbility Criteria: M.Sc Chemistry/ Inorganic/ Organic/ Physical/ Analytical Chemistry
with 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute and passing of
NET/GATE
Desirable: Candidates having First class in M.Sc with knowledge in handling
sophisticated instruments will be given preference.
Duration: 01 year
Salary: Rs.31,000/- plus HRA per month
Age: 28 years

Position 4
Job Title: CSIR Junior Research Fellow (GPAT)
No.of posts: 01
Eligibility Criteria: B.Pharm degree with valid GPAT score and desired to pursue
research through a suitable PhD programme in AcSIR.
Candidates selected for the award of JRF-GATE will be eligible for fellowship
subject to getting registered / enrolled for PhD / Integrated PhD program.
Desirable: Candidates having good cademic background and experience in
Recombinant Expression of proteins and protein purification will be given
preference.
Note: The following are not eligible for this fellowship:
1. Candidates with ME / M.Tech degree;
2. All those eligible for direct CSIRSRF.
Duration: 01 year
Salary: Rs.31,000/- plus HRA applicable per month AND Contingency
grant of Rs.20,000/- per annum (calculated on prorata basis for faction of a year)
Age: 28 years
Walk-in-Interview: Candidates fulfilling the above-mentioned qualification, age etc., may
attend the Walk-in-Interview scheduled as below:

Candidates should attend the Walk-in Interview with duly filled in Application Form with selfattested photocopies of requisite certificates/ documents (viz. Date of Birth certificate, 10th or equivalent certificate, XII or equivalent certificate, Graduation certificate, experience proof (if applicable) etc. along with original certificates for verification, a photo id proof like Aadhar Card, Voter I-Card or any other Photo ID Card issued by any Government Agency and 02 passport size colour photographs.
General Terms and Conditions:
a) This is purely temporary position
b) The date of determining qualification and age shall be the date of Walk-in Interview.
c) Applications submitted other than in the enclosed prescribed Application form will not be
considered.
d) Candidates are requested NOT to send their applications by post/ speed post/ courier.
e) The prescribed qualifications should have been obtained through recognized
Universities/ Institutions etc.
f) Incomplete application form without requisite information, certificates/ documents,
photograph are liable to be rejected.
g) Any discrepancy found in the information given in application and that is evident in
original documents will make the candidate ineligible for appearing for interview.
h) If at any subsequent date it is detected/ found that the candidates have given incorrect
information or has withheld certain information or does not fulfill the eligibility criteria;
their candidature shall be cancelled without assigning any reason whatsoever.
i) The candidates attending interview should bring alongwith them the duly signed
application form, accompanied with self-attested photo copies of all the requisite
certificates, marksheets in support of age, educational qualifications, experience (if
applicable), and submit the same alongwith original certificates, marksheets, at the time
of attending interview for verification.
j) The candidates will not be allowed to attend the interview if they do not bring their
application form and or requisite certificates/ marksheets.
k) Candidates would not be allowed beyond 11:00 a.m. for those reporting time is 09:00
a.m. on the date of interview. Candidates would not be allowed beyond 03:00 p.m. for
those reporting time is 02:00 p.m. on the date of interview.
l) No travelling allowance will be paid for attending Walk-in Interview.
m) Candidates attending interviews must follow COVID related protocols/ SOPs.
n) All applicants must fulfil the essential qualifications of the position and other conditions
stipulated in the notification as on the date of interview. They are advised to satisfy
themselves before appearing for interview that they possess the essential qualifications
laid down for the position they are applying. No enquiry asking for advice as to eligibility
will be entertained.
o) Document/ Certificate furnished in a language other than Hindi or English, must be
accompanied with an English transcript of the same duly attested by a Gazetted Officer
or Notary.
p) For JRF-GPAT (position against Sl.No.4):
- Candidates shall be offered fellowship subject to receipt of approval from HRDG
(CSIR). - Candidates selected for the award of JRF-GPAT will be eligible for fellowship
subject to getting registered / enrolled in PhD. - On completion of two years of fellowship as JRF-GPAT, the fellowship may be
upgraded to SRF-GPAT and stipend will be increased to Rs.35,000/- per month
in the subsequent years on the basis of assessment as per CSIR guidelines. - All other Guidelines / conditions of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF through
CSIR – NET) will apply. (please visit CSIR HRDG website for the same).
q) Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any political influence or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the positon.
r) The Director, CSIR-CLRI has a right to amend, delete and add terms & conditions to this
notification.
