Job Title: Global Hazard Communication Specialist
Location: Bengaluru, KA, IN
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Engineering, or other science-based discipline with minimum 6.5 CGPA or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in petrochemical, refinery, or R&D laboratories, or equivalent experience in product stewardship, industrial hygiene, or chemical safety function.
- Strong English communication skills
- Familiarity with common software including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ability to learn additional software
- Self motivated with ability to work independently and with global teams to meet customer needs
- Well organized with attention to detail and concern for accuracy
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs)
- Product Stewardship, HAZCOM, or SDS Authoring experience strongly preferred
- Petrochemical laboratory, quality control, manufacturing experience preferred
Understanding of physical and chemical properties such as density, viscosity, and flash point preferred - Familiarity with regulations for Chemical Classification and Labelling and Product Transportation Classification

Job Role Responsibilities
- Prepare Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for an ExxonMobil products including crude oils, fuels, lubricants, and chemicals.
- Read and interpret Hazard Communication regulations to determine impacts on product classification and labelling.
- Support business partners in assessing new or modified products for classification and labelling purposes
- Utilize software tools to classify product hazards based on composition, physical and chemical properties, and applicable chemical control regulations.
- Maintain current and accurate product and component information to support SDS creation and other analyses.
- Plan and execute regulatory compliance projects affecting SDS and related information.
Support EU (European Union) REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and - Restriction of Chemicals) product safety dossier development and updates using various software tools.
- Assign exposure scenarios and risk management measures based on the product use to create extended SDS
- Support HAZCOM related software and data entry requirements
