Boeing Hiring Chemistry Candidates – Associate Engineer Vacancy
The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Reliability and Parts Component Engineer. Boeing India Engineering oversees the design, development, manufacture, integration and testing of LRU designs for various Avionics systems. This position is located in Bangalore, Karnataka.
Job Title: ASSOCIATE RELIABILITY AND PARTS COMPONENT ENGINEER
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka
Eligbility Criteria/Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in chemistry
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Reliability Engineering, preferably for electronic components.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Windchill Relex suite of tools
- Experience in MTBF calculations and FTA analysis over DAL A Hardware system
- Experience in the definition of the architecture of new designs for reliability and safety requirements
- Experience in Component Engineering as a reliability engineer
- Experience in presenting and seeking approvals for new part introductions for new designs
- Experience in stress analysis for analog and digital designs
- Experience in various workflows such as reliability block diagrams, FMEA and so on
- Experience in statistical tools and quality measurement analysis tools
- Experience in Avionics protocols is a plus.
Typical Education & Experience:
Typically, 5 to 8 years of related work experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supporting Hardware Design Engineering through the functional safety requirements upon component selection, sub component design architecture and analysis to provide compliances
- FHA/SHA Analysis for Hardware Designs, new and retrofit
- Conduct Stress Analysis, MTBF, MTBUR and safety compliance studies
- Evaluate and prove ongoing designs meet safety targets with analysis such as Safety assessment, FMEA, FMEDA, DFA
- Architect new designs for target probability of failures. Define need for BITE
- Support functional safety discussion in project reviews though MTBF, MTBUR, FTA and such analysis
- Evaluate new component and sub-component selections for reliability upon space and avionics
- Represent functional safety interests inside the company, establish safety culture
- Continually improve Safety Management systems across designs and design workflow
- Put in place a RAM Monitoring process in projects during Design and Maintenance
