Scientist `B’ (Pune, Hyderabad & Thrissur Lab ) 4 Posts ( 2- UR, 1-OBC & 01-
ST) in PML-10
Elibgility Criteria:
B.E / B. Tech / M. Sc Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering and having 5 (five) years post qualification experience in the relevant field of R&D or industry.
OR M.E /M.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Materials Engineering /Nanomaterials from a recognized University/Institution and having 3 (three) years post qualification experience in the relevant field of R&D or industry.
OR
Ph.D in Physics/ Chemistry/ Material sciences/ Metallurgy/ Materials engineering
/ Ceramics engineering/ Chemical Engineering/Nano materials from a recognized
University/ Institution.
Desirable Experience: Synthesis of semi-conductor oxide / Chalcogenide including 2D materials / ceramic synthesis & Characterization, simulation of materials & devices / Materials for energy generation (fuel cell, solar cell, Hydrogen) & storage materials (battery /supercapacitor /hydrogen) / LTCC Packaging/ sensor and actuator materials/ materials for high-frequency application/plasmonic materials/processing, characterization and
device development of electronic materials, semiconductor single crystal growth, characterization & processing /knowledge of extraction of Metallurgy of refractory metal/alloys. Researchexperience in Materials and Mechanical Engineering.

General Job Description for Scientists :
A. Responsibilities:
1. Development of electronic materials-based indigenous products/ processes/ components/devices and technology transfer to industries for commercialization.
2. Pilot plant demonstration of technologies and support to industries for
indigenous production.
3. Capability to give consultancy to other agencies in his/her area of specialization and generate revenue.
4. Prepare project proposals on relevant electronic materials/devices/ systems for submitting to various Government / International funding agencies and Private Industries/start-ups.
5. Preparation of project execution plan with micro details and scheduling.
6. Liaising with research and/or admin staff to complete the jobs on time.
7. Developing expertise on problem-solving solutions in the area of his/ her specialization.
8. Keeping up to date with relevant scientific & technical knowledge base in his/her area of specialization.
9. Generating IPR in his/her area of specialization and protecting the same
through patents.
10. Publications in reputed national/international peer-reviewed journals with acceptable impact factor.
11. Preparation of Transfer of Technology documents as per approved procedure
and formats.
12. Liaison with Programme Coordinator in identifying end-user and transfer of technologies.
13. Review periodically the technologies transferred for effective use for the
purpose for which they are developed.
14. Candidate should work as a group member and should take other research
colleagues and staff along with him/her for successful completion of the research mandate of the laboratory.
15. Any other responsibility assigned by the Director of C-MET laboratory/Director
General of C-MET.
B. Desirable
1. Scientific, analytical, computer & numerical skills, effective communications
(both oral & written)
2. Should have materials process R&D experience with proof in the form of technology transfers/ Product., process development/ consultancy to industries/patents/publications and patents in at least one of the related
areas.
3. Capability to transform research outcomes to viable technologies for commercialization in the areas of National Interest.
Application Fees :
Non-refundable application fee of Rs. 800/- for General/OBC/EWS candidates and Rs. 400/- for SC/ST/PwD/Women and other notified categories by the Government of India should be paid:
a. The payment of the application will be made online only.
b. The payment will be received by Science & Technology Park, Pune account on
behalf of CMET, Pune.
c. Application fee once paid is non-refundable. Hence, candidates should check
their eligibility for the post before remitting the fee.
d. Payment service/bank charges, if any, shall be borne by the candidate.
e. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the correct payment of application fee has been made successfully. C-MET is not responsible for any
incomplete/ pending /failed/ multiple transactions of application fee payments.
f. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately
for each post and pay the fee for each post.
g. A copy of the receipt of payment may be kept with the candidates for reference.

No other means/mode of application will be accepted. Candidates are required
to have valid e-mail id and active mobile number. The procedure/steps for filling up of applications online is briefed as under.
Application can be submitted in the following 3 steps:
STEP 1: Registration with Email id
STEP 2: Creation of Profile
STEP 3: Submission of Application details and uploading of self-attested copies of
certificates/testimonials/documents
STEP 4: Payment of application fee online (as applicable)
- The application shall be treated as complete only if all the above mandatory steps as
above are completed successfully. In case, candidate is not able to submit fee
by closing date and time, or the application is otherwise incomplete, his/her
candidature will summarily be rejected and no further query or complaint will
be entertained in this regard. - On successful completion of application submission and payment of fee the candidate is required to download and keep a print out of the submitted application and fee payment receipt and produce the same, only if called for interview. Candidates are not required to submit to C-MET either by post or by hand the printouts of online applications/other documents.
- Candidates are advised to submit only one single online application for each post. If more than one application is submitted, the most recent one complete in all respects will be reckoned. Fees paid against one application number shall not be adjusted against any other application.
- Candidates are advised to submit the online application well in advance without waiting for the last date.
