Job Title: Research Scientist
Eligibility Criteria:
- Ph. D. With 3~5 years of experience in organic chemistry or polymer chemistry or equivalent
- Experience in handling complex polymer/organic synthesis procedures in a safe & efficient manner.
Position Summary:
This position incumbent will Be the part of a global team and contribute to strategic growth initiatives of Momentive – Independently pursue new polymer, oligomer or silane materials development efforts and analytical characterization in close collaboration with BU and execute in alignment with project goals
Evolve as an impactful team player with good cross-functional collaboration and use project management skills appropriately.
Job Description:
- Responsible for design synthesis and development of both silicone & non-silicone-based polymers, oligomers for varied applications
- Good Knowledge of (Prep)-HPLC and analyzing NMR, IR, and Mass Spectrometry data.
- Efficiently interface with Process Technology scale-up of platform chemistry from lab to pilot scale
- Efficiently interfaces with the analytical team as necessary
- Communicates & discusses the results with BU, AD, and marketing
- Interacts with and works collaboratively with local and global team members
- Quickly accustoms and maintains safe work practices
- Develops relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) to assure appropriate communication and responses are provided
- Proficient in literature search using Reaxys/Scifinder etc.
- Proficient in laying out an experimental and project plan aligned with the overall milestones
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Willingness and aptitude to learn the relevant skill quickly and constantly improve knowledge and abilities, in an interdisciplinary field.
