BITS Pilani Vacancy 2021 – Chemistry Jr Research Fellow Post
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a project sponsored by DST-SERB, under the supervision of Dr. Rajeev Sakhuja, Department of Chemistry, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan.
Project Title: Enriching Unnatural Amino Acids (UAAs) Toolkit via Transition-metal
Catalyzed Site Selective Functionalization/Annulation of Distal C(sp2
)-H bonds
Duration of the project: 3 years
Project position and number: Junior Research Fellow, 1 Nos. Please note
that the project position is subject to be convertible to a Ph.D.
Fellowship amount: (As per SERB guidelines)
JRF: 31000 /- pm (2 years), SRF: 35000 /- pm (1 year)
Eligibility requirements: M.Sc. in Chemistry with first division. NET/GATE qualification is desirable. The candidate’s age should be less than 28 years.
The candidate is expected to have a sound understanding of Organic Chemistry. The nature of the work will be mainly experimental and will involve a lot of bench work and organic synthesis.
