Project title: ENVIRONMENTAL SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE WITH EDAX FACILITY
(REF:07IR032)(CENTRAL FACILITY)
About the project: ENVIRONMENTAL SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPE (ESEM): Technical Staff for operating and routine maintenance of Electron Microscopes. The Job would include sample preparation, analysis of samples, managing of the laboratory, maintaining of Data Logs and training potential users.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
BE/BTech in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or MSc in Physics, Chemistry or Life Sciences or equivalent degree. Prior experience in operating and handling TEM/SEM is preferable along with knowledge of computer applications.
Job Profile:
The candidate is required to handle TEM/SEM. Sample preparation & analysis, Maintaining data log records, training students. Interaction with IIT users & non-IIT users. Routine maintenance of the instrument
. Working hours: 8 hours per day, including weekends. The time of work can be specified 8 hours during the time window from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight, as per the requirements of the facility.Pay Details:
Level PR- A3: Salary range from Rs.25200 to Rs 50400 + Rs.5000.00/- Out Of Campus Allowance (if applicable) p.m.
General information:
The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview.
