NIT TIRUCHI Chemistry Research Fellow Vacancy – Applications Invited
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals only for a Project Positions as per the details given below, under the principal investigator Dr. Ganesh Chandra Nandi, Assistant Professor Department of Chemistry, in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli-15, Tamil Nadu.
Project Title: Synthesis of “Less-explored” organosilanes and their further applications towards the synthetic and pharmaceutical chemistry

Qualifications Students must qualify for GATE or NET in Chemistry along with 55% marks in MSc (Chemistry). Age should be below 28 years as on 01/09/2021. Candidates with organic chemistry backgrounds and experience will be preferred.
Emoluments Rs. 31,000/- PM (Consolidated). Money will be released only
after joining and submission of necessary documents
Duration: 3 Years (will be extended after every 12 months)
Job Description
1. Design, Synthesis, and characterizations of organic compounds containing silicon for various applications.
2. The candidate selected as Junior Research Fellow, will be permitted to register for PhD program as per NITT rules and regulations subject to satisfying the admission procedures
A. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the
position they intend to apply.B. Candidates desiring to appear for the Interview should submit their applications with the following documents to the Office of the Principal Investigator through Registered/ Post with “Junior Research Fellow” on the cover.
C. Application should be furnished only in the prescribed format (See below).
D. Experience including research, industrial field and others.
E. Attested copies of degree/ certificate and experience certificate
F. Candidates shall bring along with them the original certificates at the time of interview for verification.
G. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.
