Eligibility Criteria:
- A degree / PG or equivalent in a technical discipline such as chemical engineering with 2 to 6 years of experience in the Process Industry
- Training in HACCP, Food Hygiene and Microbiology
- Obsessed with understanding consumer and customer needs and delivering processes/products that meet these needs
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Working knowledge in Digitally enabled work
Desirable
- Experience of tea processing (or other plant raw materials)
- Proven ability to deliver manufacturing processes/projects across different cultures (global working), functions, and external partners
- Exposure to SAP-PLM
- Working knowledge in Digital tools like Power BI, Autocad, and MS-Project.
Travel requirement
- Travel (<25%) to different parts of the country and abroad
Key Accountability/Deliverables:
The Job holder (JH) will be a member of project teams delivering process development for key innovation and VIP projects both in Leaf tea and Instant Tea powder. The JH main tasks are:
- Design technology processes with mass/ energy balance.
- Conduct Tea Processing trials at Laboratory and Pilot Plant
- Carry out Scale-up trials at Factory scale for Toolbox and Technical Transfer Docket development.
- Design and prepare product prototypes using the component and conduct an internal evaluation
- Evaluate the trial component for Physical, Chemical, and Sensory parameters
- Deliver functional specifications and SOP for factory operation.
- Create and Edit Specifications and Recipes in SAP-PLM for Tea and Instant tea products.
- Conduct risk assessment, HACCP, HAZOP studies and ensure full compliance with standards and systems, including SHE, BQ, DQS, IPM, PLM
- Interface cross-functionally (e.g., Supply Chain; Brand Development; Procurement) with Global team to implement processes
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge requirements:
- Deep technical knowledge of Food Process Engineering and Product Development
- Basic understanding of new technologies and design implementation and Regulatory
- Basic understanding of consumers and of the relevant markets (working with CTI, CMI, and Brand Development where necessary)
- Basic understanding in the use of tools and approaches such as: Risk Analysis, Design-HACCP, and Quality in Innovation
- Basic understanding in Digital Modelling
- Project Management Tools
