As an APPLICATION SCIENTIST at SCIEX, you will work in collaboration with internal and external labs and scientists in the advancement of mass spec development. This role requires you to:
Job Title: Application Scientist
Qualifications:
- MS/ Ph.D. in Chemistry
- > 5 plus years of experience at a biopharmaceutical company performing LC/MS and/or CE/MS, is preferred
- Extensive experience in monoclonal antibody characterization using LC MS in a biopharmaceutical environment
- Experience in sample prep and method development for LCMS or CE/MS applications.
- Up to 50% travel is required for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver customer demonstrations that show SCIEX LC/MS product features.
- Analyze samples submitted by prospective customers and present results.
- Deliver on-site customer training and support on SCIEX hardware and software platforms.
- Provide online/phone customer technical support.
- Perform application development directed at advancing the use of LC/MS and MS/MS in the pharmaceutical market area.
- Report results at national and international scientific conferences and meetings.
- Identify major opportunities in the pharmaceutical/bio-therapeutic sectors for the application of SCIEX technology
- Manage and execute customer collaborations around new products and workflows
- Creation of technical marketing material (Tech Note, Publications, Presentations)
