Job Title: Sr Project Associate
Project Title: Separation and Recovery of Acids from Aqueous Waste Streams of Effluent of Propylene derivatives Petrochemical Project
Eligibility: Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering/ Chemistry OR Masters in Chemical Engineering with minimum 4 years of research/industry expe rie nee
Preference: Candidates with experience in development of Extraction/adsorption processes will be preferred If the candidate of suitable qualification and experience is not available for Project 1, the Institute may consider candidates with Masters’ degree in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering or M.Sc. in Physical Chemistry and 2 years of research experience at consolidated emoluments of Rs. 35000/pm.
Project Description: The project involves estimation of the distribution of multicomponent mixtures in liquid-liquid and solid-liquid systems, experimental validation of the estimates and design of liquid-liquid extraction and adsorption systems.
Salary: Rs. 42000/-+ HRA. {Total Rs. 54600/-pm as per the office memorandum issued by Department of
Science and Technology dated August 21, 2019, regarding Guidelines and Emoluments of scientific /technical manpower of sponsored research projects)Age: 40 years
Duration: Two years. The initial appointment will be for one year, extendable by one more year only on satisfactory performance.

Project Title: Extraction of Sulfur compounds from Hydrotreating Feed using ionic liquids
Job Title: Research Assistant
Eligibility: Msc in Physical Chemistry
Project Description:
The project involves experimental estimation of distribution of sulfur compounds in multicomponent mixtures in liquid-liquid systems, involving ionic liquids, theoretical interpretation/representation of the data and regeneration of ionic liquids.
Salary: Rs 35,000
Age: 30 years
Duration: 6 months
Guidelines:
(1) Applications on plain paper along with necessary documents, addressed to Prof.VG Gaikar, Chemical Engineering Department, Institute of Chemical Engineering, Nathalal Parekh Marg, Matunga, Mumbai-400019, should reach to the Institute on or before 21st March 2020.

(3) The Institute reserves the right to interview only shortlisted candidates as per the
qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointment can be terminated on unsatisfactory performance by issuing a one month notice. The positions are strictly for the respective projects and appointee(s) shall not claim further position beyond the project period in the Institute.
