Eligibility: Ph.D. in organic chemistry
Experience: postdoctoral experience (1-3 year) candidate from reputed institute/university (India/abroad)
Job Purpose: Looking for a synthetic organic chemist (Ph.D. Organic Chemistry) who will be able to address synthetic challenges and support scale-up activities in the process research and development group. A strong potential for future leadership is highly desirable from the successful candidate.
Skills:
Essential:
1. Good understanding of organic chemistry fundamentals and reaction mechanisms.
2. Strong track record of publications in reputed international journals.
3. Coordination with multi-disciplinary teams of process R and D, pilot plant, process safety, quality control, and quality assurance personnel.
Preferable:
1. Previous experience in Pharmaceutical Process R&D.
2. Understanding of analytical data generated from NMR, HPLC, GC etc.
3. Good understanding of cGMP

Responsibilities:
The candidate should be willing to work in the lab as an individual contributor with responsibilities towards the development of safe and robust chemical processes for the preparation of intermediates/API in support of drug development activities.
Development work includes:
1. Route scouting
2. Willing to carry out reactions at the bench to support R&D activities
3. Providing insights and innovative solutions to project team members in order to address process-related challenges/process safety.
4. Candidate should communicate effectively with his own team members as well as with multiple teams like process engineering, process safety, analytical etc.
5. Communicating & documenting development on the project through regular updates with concerned stakeholders.
