Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of project-JRF/Project Assistant in the research area of Theoretical Physical/Biophysical Chemistry and Soft Condensed Matter Physics under the DST-SERB Project No. SERB/CHM/2017030.
Name of the Post : JRF & Project Assistant
No.of.Positions : 01 & 02 respectively.
Title of the Project : “Understanding Regulation of Synaptic Morphogenesis and Function by N-BAR and SH3 domain containing Aster-associated protein (ASAP).”
Essential Qualifications :
• MSc in Chemistry, Physics or Biophysics from a recognized University/Institute with
a minimum of 60% Marks or CGPA of 7.0 and above at a scale of 10.
• Candidates must have Mathematics at the undergraduate (Bachelor) level.
• Preferably having qualified CSIR-UGC NET or GATE with a valid score or any other
similar type of national level exam.
• Master students appearing for the final exam can also apply. However, final mark
sheet must be submitted at the time of interview.
• Candidates should be below 27 years of age at the time of application.
Desirable Qualifications:
Candidates with computational chemistry/physics experience, and sound
knowledge in computer programing (C/C++/Fortran, Python, Perl etc.) will be preferred.

Salary : Rs. 25,000/- p.m. + HRA for JRF (Candidates without NET/GATE qualification may
be considered for a reduced salary of 12,000/- p.m. + HRA as per SERB rule).
Duration : Three years. First two years as JRF/Project Assistant and third year as SRF/Project Assistant.
