Job Description:
A. Work Output:
- Work closely with in-house R&D groups/external collaborators for research/developmental work and get associated with experiments at lab/pilot plant scale as required to meet the project objective.
- Analysis and Interpretation of the data.
- Start-up, commissioning of the Plants.
- Preparation of the process design basis and basic engineering design data for engineering of pilot plants/commercial plants.
- Develop and maintain Data base for Process Design Standards, Process software, Critical equipment/Instruments/protocols/ Calculations/Reports/Patents.
B. Technical Management:
- Development of Process Design Package, Basic Engineering Package including Process Simulation, Process Optimization, PFD, HMB, P&ID, layout, C&E drawing, Equipment Design, PDS, control narrative, utility and off-site requirement, Value Engineering and such process design work as required for detailed engineering.
- Technical Audit/process review of the process design packages/BEPs prepared by licensors, DECs, sub-vendors,
C. HSE & other regulatory compliance
- Track new regulations (local and international) and be conversant with the mechanism for compliance
- Ensure compliance of design with HSE & F codes and Engineering standards during the entire phase of project.
D. Learning & mentoring
- Be aware of statutory, IP and RIL IT regulations
- Dissemination of learning#s from related projects
E. Extra-mural activities
- Attending technical programs/Seminar to remain updated with the developments in the relevant subjects.
- Reading and assimilation of technical articles from process engineering journals
Qualifications:
- B Tech/M Tech in Chemical Engineering with excellent academic record from Premier Institutes.
Experience Requirement:
Necessary
- Min 2 years of experience in Technology development/ Process Design.
- Demonstrates broad understanding and wide application of engineering technical procedures, principles, theories and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines
Desirable
- Experience in O&G, Refinery/Petrochemicals Industry.
